Bullet Passes (03/30/2009)

So I will go with a different approach with the link love. It's probably better that I do it on a random day but I think I'll still do a Blog of the Week every Friday. But I definitely have a lot to make-up here.

First off... since we've been doing some podcasts... I urge you to check out these podcasts that I listen to. I don't listen to a lot but... I can assure you that these are Grade A-quality podcasts.

The Basketball Jones: J.E. Skeets and Tas Melas do this awesome video podcast five days a week. They even have a book-off where the loser has to do such things as karaoke a song of the winner's choice. I think they're talking about the loser getting dunked on this time around...

On The DL With Dan Levy: Dan Levy also does this five days a week. A podcast about sports, media, entertainment, politics, pop culture, and, really, whatever they want. That's what it says on their page, at least. Check it out.

The Weekly Fix Podcast: Presented by Zach Harper and the boys from TalkHoops.net. They talk about anything NBA and share some of their funny life stories. These guys are hilarious so give 'em a shot.

For The Love Of Sports Podcast Paradise: Tim Moore and Andrew Rafner from TheLoveOfSports.com talk about anything and everything sports Monday through Thursday.

The NBA Breakdown: A GREAT high-energy NBA podcast with Dave Mendonca and Audley Stephenson. They've had great guest stars such as former players Wayman Tisdale, Tom Chambers, and Nick Anderson. So take a listen to them... for hoops talk, the way it should be.

The SpursCast: Mike and Jeff from Project Spurs talk anything and everything San Antonio Spurs in this podcast. They actually had me and Dave as guests last January and it set the motion for us to make our own podcast, the Chronicles of Crotty. Anyway, they're great to listen to so if you love the Spurs, I'd recommend you hear their points of view. They don't hold back.

I'm sure there are more out there but those are the main ones that I listen to. And while I'm at it, you guys should give US a listen: The Chronicles of Crotty! Ha ha ha ha.

Anyway, LINK LOVE.

HORNETS HYPE
For all the females (or maybe the men that like men), Sarah has a HOT BALLER TOURNAMENT to counter the NBA HOTTEST DANCE TEAM TOURNAMENT. Anyway, check 'em out here, here, and here. Do chicks even go to this blog?!

TALKHOOPS.NET
All right. So we have a few here: The Plight of the NBA Movie-Lover is quite a good post about B-Ball movies. How To Know If You're A Hoop-aholic is another one because I can see myself doing a lot of these things. And the last one I'll advertise is... What We Don't Want To See In The Playoffs. I also want to see Lakers/Celtics myself but I can see why people would rather see Kobe Vs LeBron.

PROJECT SPURS
Ha ha ha. This one's funny. Tweeting From The Bench by the boys from Project Spurs. TWITTER TWITTER TWITTER.

LOVE SOFT RIMS
Well, Peter and Dave will love this: Donald Sterling's Commitment to Excellence. Donald Sterling and Excellence should never be used in the same sentence.

CELTICS 17
Celticsfanatic makes a comparison: How Do The 2009 Celtics Compare to the 2008 Champs. He definitely got excited when Paul Pierce joined Twitter. And he has his weekly mailbag where a reader wonders if the Celtics will get the 2nd or 3rd seed.

NESW SPORTS
Ethan Jaynes has been SO good to us by keeping our blog in the radar. I will link a few of the videos he put on his site.

Guitar Hero: Metallica Commercial W/College Coaches
NBA Intro Wars
LeBron James Casually Hits Incredible Shot During 60 Minutes
Gillespie Chased by Kentucky Reporters

Thanks again, Ethan!

BLOGGER SO DEAR
For you college hoopheads (which I personally don't specialize in nowadays), check out these highlights that Martin Rickman put together. These are a few North Carolina prospects from the classes of 2011-12.

BOTH TEAMS PLAYED HARD
Of course, we have Wade's Great Moments in Facial Hair History. The college bracket stuff is old but I liked his entry about "WHO'S THE BEST?".

HOOP HEADS NORTH
Romy Aquino has an entry about Pops Mensah-Bonsu highlight videos. He also put together a list of The Lesser Known Nicknames of the NBA and a PG-13 entry called The Top 10 Overheard "That's What She Said" Comments. Loved the Hubie Brown word vomit.

SLAM ONLINE
There's so much to put from SLAM... but I chose this piece by Ben York who used to run Ben's Suns Blog but now runs Deep Purple in the Phoenix Fanster Community. A great article about Steve Nash. Ben is high in demand! We'll have him as a guest panelist on our podcast next week!

I am done. I'm not going to do this long of a list again anytime soon in terms of links but I felt like I needed to make up for lost time.
