If You Don’t Know, Now You Know (Part 2)

This is not going to be a very long entry but...

I just find it real funny that Portland players like to have their coming out parties against Phoenix on national TV (TNT). If y'all remember, Brandon Roy scored a juicy 52 points against Phoenix last year.

This year, Portland came from 15 down to win the game, 105-102. It wasn't as fun as last year's offering but what was fun was seeing Jerryd Bayless put on a show in this game. The guy was a dead-on shooter tonight, can get into the paint seemingly at will, and was making important freethrows to keep the Blazers in the lead. Bayless finished with a career high 29 points.

It took a lot of player injuries to get Bayless to play. Right now, he's still slated as the third point guard in Portland's depth chart. But Portland has been doing a lot of 3-guard lineups as of late. Stil, I can't help but wonder what's going to happen... especially when all of their guards get healthy. They have this huge logjam in point guard at the moment.

Still, the kid's talented; I remember him scoring 23 in a game last year. Sure, he's probably a 2 playing the 1 position but he's a very good basketball player and I'm positive he can adjust. Just get him on the floor. He's a kid that's eager to play. Bayless can get in the paint and can only get better by playing more. Plus he obviously has the best upside in those three point guards with Blake and Miller in their 30's. Basically? FREE JERRYD BAYLESS.

Portland should know what they have in this guy. By the way, Portland wishes they played Phoenix in TNT every game.

from his college days to his days in the nba...i have always been a fan of bayless. this kid has potential and can get to the rim easily! he reminds me of how EJ (Eric Gordon) can get to the rim and get fouls called his way. they were in the same draft and i was torn with who i wanted the clippers to pick in the 2008 draft. im glad that both of my teams picked them up! (Clippers #1, Blazers #2, Lakers #3).
