I'm sure Laker fans still hate this sight.

But these days, it's been different. Everyone has been telling me... Happy Pau Gasol Trade Day! Two years ago today, the Lakers made the steal of the decade. Memphis traded Pau Gasol for Kwame Brown, Javaris Crittenton, Aaron McKie, and the rights to Marc Gasol. Obviously, Marc Gasol wasn't playing yet. In the long run, maybe it doesn't look so bad as Marc Gasol is having one hell of a year. But the main cogs of the deal were... Pau and Kwame Brown.
Simply put, Kwame Brown was NOT good. He was awful. Was hardly competent on both sides of the floor (actually, he was NOT THAT bad of a one-on-one defender). Can't catch the ball with those small hands. And then you got Pau Gasol. He is all-world and has an awesome skill set.
The funny thing about this to me was that I didn't learn this trade through TV or a blogger or anything like that. I learned this from the UPS guy while I was eating In-N-Out burgers (delicious, I tell you). I even told him, "What do you know about the NBA?!" Then about five minutes later, Tony Ek (one of our contributors behind-the-scenes) called me up about it.
I just couldn't believe it. Hell, I still can't believe it now.
And neither did the media.
I just wondered why the dude talking to Stephen A. Smith was trying to justify the deal for KWAME BROWN.
Man, Pau in a Memphis uniform looks strange to me now.
Phil Jackson had the funniest reaction to this.
Where were you when this fleece happened?
Shoutout to Kam of The Lakers Nation as well as to Nelson (friend of TNLP).
