Sometimes, I wonder how some players make shots with their unorthodox forms. There’s no other way to explain it other than they’re used to it. Here are some of the more nonconventional shooting forms in the NBA.
I have provided this video before. But look how ugly that form is by Tim Hardaway. Spike Lee even points out to it. Ugly knuckleball action.
Joakim Noah’s is somewhat similar. Thanks, @khoffman1313
Bill Cartwright shoots high. WAY HIGH.
And… well… Shawn Marion… I don’t even know what to call that. But it goes in.
When you want to talk about freethrow shooting… well, Chuck Hayes‘ freethrow is like Charles Barkley’s golf swing. I’m not sure if he actually shoots like that when the action is on but he doesn’t seem to shoot further than 5 feet, anyway.
I’m sure there are more players with strange shooting forms… but those are the worst that I can find at the moment. But, hey, if it goes in, then you can’t complain. But then again, Chuck Hayes…
UPDATE: @NBAplayerlolz with the contribution. How about Anthony Mason? Check 1:36 in this music vid with the repetitive melody.
