Ronny Turiaf Is Into Anime

As usual, I was fooling around on Twitter when Ronny Turiaf of the New York Knicks tweeted something about watching some anime.

In my past life, I frequented anime conventions before I became even more insane and decided to take charge of an NBA website, which is the jumble of mess you are reading at the moment. So my nerdy instincts kicked in and decided to get into a small conversation about this crazy Japanese animation stuff Ronny tweeted about.

Now THAT'S what I call a die-hard! That was me a few years ago. While I have never watched stuff like Claymore or Deathnote, I have watched a few of these monstrosities like Dragon Ball, Ranma 1/2, Sailor Moon, Pokémon (probably the most successful anime here in the U.S.), and all that juicy animated stuff. And in the anime convention circuit, people are known for not only professing their love for a certain series but are also known for dressing up as their favorite characters (hello, Kie, Cindy, Anela, Amy, Chas, etc.). I wonder if Turiaf has walked around the crazy grounds of an anime con. A 6-foot-10 man walking around dressed up as an anime character is definitely a sight to behold. We can just imagine...

Hey, Ronny. Maybe you can use this as your signature in the future. It's in Naruto font. You're welcome!

As mentioned, I haven’t watched anime regularly in the last few years. I might watch it, eventually, but I don’t think I’ll be getting to it anytime soon.
