O.J. Mayo Suspended For 10 Games

It hasn't been the greatest season for O.J. Mayo. First, he no longer starts with the Memphis Grizzlies. And then there was that infamous altercation with one Tony Allen over money.

Now? He is suspended for 10 games.

Apparently, this was the same steroid that got Rashard Lewis suspended when he was playing for the Orlando Magic. Lewis hasn't exactly played the same since and was traded to the Washington Wizards last December.

At this point, we know the Grizzlies have committed a lot of money to Rudy Gay and Mike Conley. Marc Gasol and Zach Randolph are up for extensions soon. While owner Michael Heisley said he wants to keep the whole core in Memphis, I'm not really sure if O.J. Mayo really is in the cards. Mayo is averaging career-lows on pretty much every major category, including a paltry 12.2 points and 28.8 minutes per game.

Hopefully, Mayo will come back a better player and person after this suspension. But I do think this kid needs a change of scenery.
