DeMar DeRozan Agrees To Contract Extension With Toronto

Various reports have mentioned that DeMar DeRozan has agreed to a 4-year contract extension with the Toronto Raptors. With incentives, DeRozan's overall contract will be worth $42 million.

That's just below Stephen Curry's deal that's worth $44 million. Ty Lawson's contract is the same length but at $48 million. This is the marketplace that was set up for the guards. I didn't even mention James Harden's five-year extension that averages out to $16 million per year.

DeRozan averaged 16.7 points per game last season with the Raptors but shot a career-low 42 percent.

I don't think he's worth that much. He has a tough time hitting the outside shot and he's not much of a rebounder for a big guard. But I'm not going to stop anybody from getting their money.

Hope this makes you happy, Toronto.
