Bullet Passes (11/16/12): Knicks Not Crumbling

Credit: Debby Wong-US PRESSWIRE

Good afternoon and welcome to Friday's edition of the Bullet Passes. Normally I like to phone it in on Fridays, give you a few pictures and a few videos and take the afternoon off, start my night off with an adult beverage or two and go from there, but that won't be the case today. I feel obligated to give you some news, so here we go, links upon links just for you. Enjoy!

I know I said I wasn't going to phone it in, but I didn't say no videos. Here you go, one of my favorite Jalen Rose clips. Jalen gives us his Fab Five All-Time Dark Ally team and it's a good one.

Here's a little follow-up on that skirmish between Perkins and Z-Bo. Not much in the way of details though. Maybe Perkins is starting to feel the pressure in OKC. After all, there are rumors the team may amnesty him at the end of the year.

Wanna have some fun while playing drinking games tonight? Check this out: start by typing in Michael Jordan and then move to Chauncey Billups and go from there. Enjoy the hours of mindless fun. You're welcome.

You know how people were saying the Knicks would crumble when they met some real competition? Those people were wrong because the Knicks are still undefeated and doing everything right.

The Knicks rallied back to take down the San Antonio Spurs last night, 104-100. All this success does beg the question, what do they do with Amare Stoudemire? But I guess they will cross that bridge when they get to it. Right now, just know the Knicks are for real.

By the way, Knicks fan, are you happy? You made my links. Now stop complaining. Kidding, I love you.

Rumor has it the Sacramento Kings were going to relocate. Now, rumors are they will stay in Sacramento.

It may not be NBA, but it is WNBA and it's kind of sad. Chamique Holdsclaw was arrested yesterday for assault involving her former girlfriend and teammate Jennifer Lacy, a current player for the Tulsa Shock. Apparently there was a gun involved as well. I put this in here because it's extremely sad to see Holdsclaw's career go from its skyline heights to some of its deepest lows, including her extreme bouts with depression. Here is hoping she can get her life together again.

We have some weekly Rookie Rankings from Sheridan Hoops for you.

Mike D'Antoni was introduced as the Lakers head coach yesterday and conducted his first practice from the comfy confines of crutches.

Which brings us to our Article of the Day, which comes from Dave King at SB Nation. King doesn't feel so sure D'Antoni will get a fair shake with his new team.

More evidence that this might be a hard fit for the Lakers comes from Kirk Goldsberry at Grantland. He sees this as the slow-time Lakers era. We shall see Kirk, we shall see.

The Hornets seem to be happy with the direction of their team and have signed Dell Demps to a contract extension.

Marc Stein has word the Hornets and Matt Carroll are working on a buyout after Charlotte dealt Carroll for Hakim Warrick. Possible free-agent shooter for Lakers' radar? Twitter @ESPNSteinLine: The Hornets have no comment at the moment though.

Well it's that time for Ankle Insurance again. This time it's Ray Felton, who needs it thanks to Tony Parker.

Brian Geltzeiler stopped by his old stomping ground (he is currently at Sheridan Hoops) at TheProBasketballTalk.com to talk a little NBA with Jacob Noble. Brian always has a good opinion so get there and enjoy.

I also wanted to throw in a little Cowbell Kingdom so you can get the latest on the Cousins' saga and the Kings Arena. Cowbell Kingdom Podcast Ep 67: Scott Howard-Cooper on DeMarcus Cousins, Sacramento Kings’ arena front

OK, so that's a lot of podcasts and videos. I never said I wouldn't partially phone it in today.

Mavericks forward Shawn Marion says he plans to play tonight against the Pacers.

Cavaliers rookie center Tyler Zeller has been cleared to play wearing a mask to protect a broken cheekbone.

The Chicago Bulls plan to build their new practice facility near the United Center on the city's West Side.
